中国石化新闻网讯 据彭博新闻社2023年5月17日报道，厄瓜多尔能源部日前收到来自欧佩克的一封信，信中欧佩克邀请离开该组织3年的厄瓜多尔重新加入这个石油生产国集团。

欧佩克秘书长海瑟姆·盖斯在信中写道，重新接纳这个拉丁美洲国家是欧佩克的“首要任务”，并提出访问厄瓜多尔以“解释拥有欧佩克会籍的多重优势”。

厄瓜多尔在2019年底决定退出欧佩克，当时厄瓜多尔原油产量超过了协商的生产限制配额，并试图将重点转移到收入最大化上。厄瓜多尔当时是欧佩克最小的石油生产国之一，原油日产量约为54万桶，仅为阿拉伯联合酋长国等欧佩克主要成员国目前原油产量的六分之一。

厄瓜多尔曾在1992年被暂停成员国资格，直到2007年才重新加入欧佩克。

OPEC invites Ecuador to rejoin after three-year absence

OPEC invited Ecuador to rejoin the oil producers’ group just over three years after its departure, according to a letter received by the country’s Energy Ministry.

Secretary-General Haitham Al-Ghais wrote that readmission of the Latin American nation is a “top priority” for OPEC and offered to visit to “explain the multiple advantages” of membership.

Quito decided to exit the organization in late 2019 when it was exceeding agreed production quotas and sought to shift its focus to maximizing revenues. The country was among one of OPEC’s smallest producers at the time, pumping around 540,000 bpd - barely a sixth of the volume now produced by a major member like the United Arab Emirates.

Ecuador had previously suspended its membership in 1992, only to rejoin in 2007.
